Blue Cubic Zirconia 1st Place Winner USGF 20101st place with a score of 100 Grand Master Class 2010 United States Faceters Guild Single Stone Competition Blue CZ, 12mm 10.88 ct Design: "Check This" by Jeff Ford Faceted by James R. Clark CZ was the required material for this particular competition class, so I chose a piece I got from Grady and Phyllis Harris out of Texas. The color is what attracted me. Oddly enough, I almost didn't submit this stone. I had completed the pavilion and transferred the stone when we were about to leave on an extended cross country trip. With only a few days left before departure I decided to finish the crown. Jeff Ford's design went together so well that I was able to complete the faceting and pop it in the mail before we left. Boy am I glad I did! |
