Cuprian Tourmaline 3.78 ct

9.3 mm, Untreated
Traditional Portuguese Cut
Faceting by Jim Rentfrow

I really do cut designs besides Portuguese Rounds!

I was recently contacted by a client who had seen some of my work on these One World Gemstone pages. The client had a roval cuprian tourmaline that was very badly windowed, had poor symetry and desperately needed recutting. The tourmaline started out as a 10.5mm x 10mm roval. The stone also needed to be resized to 9.3mm because the original gem had a very large flat crown.

Starting weight was 5.9 carats and finished weight was 3.78 carats. The end result is stunning.

If you have a gemstone that needs a recut or repolish you can contact me here: Flawless Facets Contact Page to get an opinion on what can be done with your specific gemstone.
