Tanzanian Tsavorite 4.18 ctOmni Cushion 1 design by John Bailey Faceted by John LeBourgeois This 4ct+ Tsavorite is a very unusual stone as we can determine it’s provenance from the few thread like inclusions in the stone. Cambell Bridges notes http://tsavorite.com/history/history.html the location based upon the inclusions as “…13 kilometers southeast of the village of Komolo, Tanzania…” This gemstone has a very fine rich grass green color that is perfect for Tsavorite. I cut this with a low crown as I thought someone would like a 4 carat stone for less than $12,000 or so, rather than a 2ct+ with a high crown giving maximum flash. So this stone comes with a free recutting offer if you’d prefer to have it with the most flash. Priced so you come out ahead either way, it’s a lovely stone that you will fall in love with.
