Commercial Cut Cabochon in Shenzhen China

Beautiful blue green Afghan Cabochon with high dome. The rough for this cabochon was imported by Abdul Meskienyar, World Gems and Jewelry of San Francisco a number of years ago. It was part of a large parcel of similarly colored stones. A commercial cutting house in Shenzhen China professionally sculpted the cabochon last year.

It has a bright transmission of color that defines the blue green tourmaline trademark. The inclusions are somewhat evenly spaced throughout the stone and the light reflects uniformly across the cab. One end has slightly heavier inclusions but this only makes the stone more interesting. The stone is natural and has not been treated in any manner.

This wonderful blue green tourmaline is destined to become a strong center stone in ring or pendant.

Measurements: 12.8 x 15.6 and 9.4 mm high.
