Ein neuer Saphir aus der Gegend um Songea, Tansania. Die Farbe schwankt zwischen Blau und Grün, je nach Lichtart ist auch die Farbintensität unterschiedlich, ein bewölkter Himmel verschafft ihm die schönste Farbe. Für das Auge ist dieser Saphir völlig rein und klar. Erst bei sehr starker Vergrößerung ist gegen halb Elf eine kleine Wolke mit einem zarten Sagenit-Gitter zu erkennen, was belegt das der Saphir nicht hitzebehandelt ist (wurde auch vom Rohsteinhändler so angegeben). 1,47 Karat, 6,7 x 5,0 mm.

This beautiful gem is a new sapphire from the Songea region in Tanzania. It has a nice blue-green color and weighs 1.47 cts. Clarity is high, with only a small cloud, as seen on the photo at 10:30 under the table. This inclusion is absolutely invisible to the unaided eye. Inside this cloud is also a sagenite-type of bar (variety of rutile), therefore this gem is surely untreated. This is also confirmed by the rough dealer. 1.47 cts., 6.7 x 5.0 mm.
