Jeffrey Hunt brings his theatrical design skills to focus on the creation of classic and new gemstone design. His lighting and scenery designs have been seen on stages in Europe and theatre festivals in Japan, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. He has designed for a number of theatres in Northern California including the California Shakespeare Festival, The Magic Theatre, Theatre Works, and Sacramento Theatre Company. His “avant-garde” projection designs have been seen both at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC; and on stage at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. He was a professor for a number of years at UC California Davis where he worked with leading British Directors through the Granada Television Corporation in England.

He developed a system of special effects lighting creating a new form of animation through additive color mixing. This is directly applicable to scintillation in gemstone design.
